radbe
I recently upgraded to osCommerce 2.2 MS2, because of other issues I was having with MS1... my installation was successful in resolving my previous issue, However now I have a new one.. When switching from Non-Secure pages to Secure pages, my user logins are dropped, which means they have to login again.. the problem there is that all items referenced in the Shopping Cart are also removed. My account with my hosting company is setup to use "Shared SSL", which I'm assuming is causing these issues.. I find this intersting because the Shared SSL worked fine with MS1. and in the write up for MS2 it states that MS2 improves functionality with Shared SSL environments :D Also interesting is that in my setup I entered "https://mydomain.com" as my 'HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER' but when I click on the Signup or Checkout links it returns "https://mydomain.myISP.com". They both will work, so I dont understand why it picks up the ISP reference. I've looked at the configure.php files and my MYSQL database to see if i could manually remove this reference, but nothing jumped out at me.. Is there a way I can work around this issue without having to purchase a SSL certificate? I'm broke and can afford to pay for one :( Thanks for your help... "RAD" By the way in case this makes a difference I have the script set to store session on the MYSQl database.. but NOT to use Persistant Connections.
