ecroskey
I have installed this cart many times now, but this install is on a new server. When I get to step two (2) of the installation the banner shows up on the top of the page but nothing else. I have set up the user for mysql with the right permissions and tried localhost/IP/name as the databse server in all combinations but no luck. Any ideas why it is crapping out? Scottgzero
Hi Eric, I had that on my first attempts to install aswell. I found that the problem was the database itself. Delete the database you have configured, make a new one and start again. That helped me get onto step 3. Chris

Scottgzero
Hiya, what else you can do is skip step 2 and type in step 3 in the address line in your browser. See if that works. Regards Chris
Guest
This happened to me as well, I couldn't get it to work no matter what I tried. I ended up just setting up manually.

Getting this error: Call to undefined function: mysql_pconnect() in /var/www/html/siding/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 17 What could be causing this? Guest
doesnt sound like things are getting setup properly, if you email me the info i can most likely install it for you. then you can go back in and change passwords. just make sure you have a full copy of oscommerce on the site.
