microsuperstore
How are the UK people processing switch and solo cards ? When you check out you dont have the option for start date or more importantly issue number. Is there an easy way to add an extra field for issue number. Would the credit card module recognise and accept switch/solo numbers ? If not how can you make it recognise (dont have any switch cards to try with)
Guest
Try this: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1754 It's a new contrib and currently doesn't have an issue number but apparently that is coming soon. I use WorldPay so it's not an issue (sorry :P ) for me.

I downloaded and looked at the files, but it was on about fiddling with the SQL database!! I dare not.
Guest
Well, it's not my contribution, but basically any contrib where you want to add fields like this will require the new fields being added to the database. I remember the first time I had to add something to the database - it was very scary. But back up your database first and do what the file says and it really isn't that hard - it's just doing it that first time. I would really recommend getting to know your database and finding out how it works. Once you know your way round it, it won't be as scary. And you will find it essential to know your way round it if you ever hope to make any changes to the stock installation other than basic cosmetic ones. It's also a good idea to have a test store, where you can experiment and do your changes there first so if you mess up, it won't ruin your main store. microsuperstore
I found this one http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,71 Should solve the problem. I just dont understand how to install. These are the install instructions: ************* (1) First each program needs to be placed in its correct folder OR the modifications applying to your version of the program. (2) Then you will need to run the "cvv+issue.sql" script to modify the order DB table. The old scipt "new_cc_validations.sql" to modify the configuration DB table has now been integrated into the core of oSC. (3) Clicking the GREEN light for std oSC credit card payment facility in admin->modules->payment will now create all the required ACCEPTABLE credit cards. Go and edit this credit card payment options to turn on/off each card you will accept. (4) Now, if you do not want either of the two new bits of functionality go to the configure.php file in catalog and admin and change the relevant flag. ********** Now the first step (1) I understand its just step (2) I dont get. How do I run the "cvv+issue.sql" script ? Please let me know so I can try it and let the rest of the UK people if it works. Julie
