Returning customer discounts

I was considering the option of giving returning customers a discount on my items since the majority of my customers only purchase a single item, so I would like to entice them to return with something.

Is it possible to give EVERY customer who has already purchased an item a discount on all future purchases, but have all new customers pay the set price?

You could try something like this or maybe modify it so that it automatically puts new customers into a "discount group" once they place an order.

I personally just use the "discount coupons" mod and have it send a coupon out to new customers when they create an account.
