Unicorn
I'm really new and dead excited about my new site but I'm thick as a brick with techno things. Ive pored through the forum on currencies and can't seem to find the answer. I have defaulted the currency to GBP and that just works fine. But when the currency is changed to dollars or euros it only shows that currency for the current page and reverts to pounds on the next page. Please tell me how to rectify this. I've looked in the include/language/english.php etc and this says what it's supposed to. Thanks guys I know you must be fed up with this currency issue but honest I have tried! Guest
Did you created a new default currency? In the edit did you put 1.0000000 as the value and then click on update currencies button ? and in the catalog/includes/languages/english.php around line 36 // if USE_DEFAULT_LANGUAGE_CURRENCY is true, use the following currency, instead of the applications default currency (used w$ define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'USD'); Change it to whatever you need HTH The_Bear
marcus76
hey Bear, I tried this - i have: define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'GBP'); "did i create a new default currency?" you can only have one default currency right? My shop should normally be displaying prices on GBP. Are you saying set the default to GBP in the admin and change the following to: define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'EUR'); then if they select from the currency box Euro, the EUR pricing will not revert back to GBP and when they initially connect to the store prices will be in GBP - that would be perfect!!! thanks Marcus
