Need help deleting the Intro Page - Read -

Hey guys, I must say im more then impressed with oscommerce. It has all different types of selections, it even gives the proper tax to my customer based on his state. Anyway, i'll cut to the chase.

Is my store, its out of box, barely have modified it.

Anyway, I want to delete all the stuff under:

Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in? Or would you prefer to create an account?

This is a default setup of the osCommerce project, products shown are for demonstrational purposes, any products purchased will not be delivered nor will the customer be billed. Any information seen on these products is to be treated as fictional.

I know how to edit the stuff above in bold, but when I try getting rid of the code under it gives me an error on Line 13. I've been trying for over two hours, and contacted various webdesigners. Im not deleting the whole code obviously, but Im just out of ways to try to get rid of it. It should look like:

Can anyone please e-mail me the proper code for index.html that does not have the intro page before I pull my hair out?!

You just need to go to catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php and look for define('text_main', ' put what you want on your front page in here ');

i saw that post and it made me upset also, this is free support and the software is open source, use at your own risk, etc. some people dont read, in fact if he would have gone to the Wiki documentation it would show him all of that info.

Hai, its very easy...login as admin, go to the Catalog, Define mainpage, and you have a beautifull WYSIWYG editor,...really thats the best way to edit it..and for the future as well of course..
