Guest
Hi guys, I have a rather completed question and i hope the pros can help me out with this. Basically, at the moment, i have about 1500 products on my site... I uploaded each and every one of them one at a time...image the time involved in that? I have over 10k products to upload and i have recently found easy populate, I plan on installing that on my site. Since my site is currently live and i'm getting orders, i have to try to upload my entire store into another directory i plan on creating then i will use the easy populate contrib to upload all 10k products. I will also change some few things in my css and such. But my main question is this...in the feed that i have from my distributors, there are manufacture logos, like panasonic, sony, etc. and i would like to have them in my product descriptions. Like if a customer is looking at a panasonic item i want the logo on top or bottom of the descripton...and since i plan on under going all these changes, i would like to know if this can be done before i start working on the site. Ps. i'm I right about easy populate...? Can it upload all 10k products without any problems? my website is: bestvalueplus.net

steve***
yes this can be done. The best way to fo it is through excel befre you upload your product info. You need 3 columns col 1 = product description col 2 = the link to the image col 3 = the join command in excel to connect both cells together and produce one complee product description. If you're still online send me a PM or MSN and i'll go through it step by step
mtimdog
An easier way would be to write some custom code in your products page to display the manufacturer's logo. Tthe query already gets the manufacturer's id, so all you'd have to do is write another one to get the name of the manufacturer's logo and display it)
