Newbie question about product attributes

Forgive me, im very new to OS. I was looking through the contributions, and I think I found one that would be a big help, but I was wondering if there was one better.

 

Is there a contribution that I can add to OS that would allow me to add attributes to a product when I am first inputing the product into the store?

 

example:

I want to add a clutch to my store, and have several attributes for the clutch's specific applications. I want to beable to add these attributes at the same time I am adding the product to the store.

 

Is this possible? Or will I always need to add the attributes after I input the product?
