Is it possible to put the French language in the German and then change the german flag to french ? Would it work this way ? But now, I cannot access any page at all, even the adminsitration panel. I get the following message : Warning: main(includes/languages/.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/html/catalog/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 130 Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/languages/.php' (include_path='.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php') in /var/www/html/catalog/admin/includes/application_top.php on line 130 and my problem is that http://www.oscommerce-fr.info/ does not work so they cannot help me ! i hope some one will be able to find out where is the problem !!! fmossiere Posted December 31, 2003 Share Posted December 31, 2003 Hi Valeirie, in order to add an other language, first download the language set under http://www.oscommerce.com/downloads/languages , then extract the files and install them in Includes/Languages on your web server ( where by default German/Spanish/english are installed), then you can go in the admin and ADD a new language as the files are now on your webserver. Shiyde Posted December 31, 2003 Author Share Posted December 31, 2003 Hello Fabien, ok i did download the files to my computer then I did put the admin ones in admin folders (languages...) and the sames for the catalog ones... but where do you put the flag_fr.gif image and the thumbs.db file ? and my huge problem is that I did ask for french language and put it on in the main administration board before I did download the french files. So now, any time I ask for anything, administration tool or catalog, I systematically get a message error and cannot access anymore to anywhere. So I am fully blocked there. fmossiere Posted December 31, 2003 Share Posted December 31, 2003 To get back your catalog and admin in english, if your url for your catalog is: http://www.test.com/catalog, then typr the URL : http://www.test.com/catalog/index.php?language=en same for administration: http://www.test.com/catalog/admin/?language=en Now for the flag. Upload it in Modules/Languages/French/Images and rename it to icon.gif ... This is as far as I can help as I install Oscommerce yesteday for the first time and was trying to install the french .. did partially work as I got the menu and everything in french but with a couple of errors at the beginning of the page ... fabien Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ok so now it is ok for the access to the main english administrtion board... but the french does not want to appear ! still have the same error message. In which folder is it ? because the modules I found lead to newletter files or other. Then, 241 said to download it to catalog\includes\languages\french\images\flag_fr.gif but there i have catalog\includes\languages\french\ but no images : it is payment and shipping The language : I could before access the board by typing http://www.domaine/catalog/admin/?language=en then I did do same for language=fr but got the error message below and now whatever I do, I am blocked again, nothing does work anymore, like before. Shiyde Posted December 31, 2003 Author Share Posted December 31, 2003 well I did check the files I did download for the french update, actualy there is no images folder. just the french flag icon. so i did download the english image folder into the catalog/includes/language/french/ and changed the icon.gif by the french one... but all the buttons stays in english... anyone as the french button folders to send me ?? I give the admin user name + the password and it does not work !!! Authorization Required This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required. My website hosting company did reorganise my oscommerce database to secure it and put a password... ! I just receive email from them telling me they did that !!! they are really nice people !
