Sendmail on 2.2 MS 2 not working

Specialist help required:

I have two catalogs with the same host all for testing purposes so far.

Cigarshop is running an old snapshot (early 2003) with modifications.

Commerce/catalog is running 2.2 MS2.

In both shops fields are identical:

E-mail from: Cigarshop <[email protected]>

Send Extra E-mails: Cigarshop <[email protected]> (with my real address)

E-mail options are: sendmail - LF - false - false - true

My hosts cPanel shows that sendmail's path is /usr/sbin/sendmail.

PROBLEM: When ordering/registering/etc (anything that involves sending e-mails) everything works OK on the old snapshot. Everything fails on MS2.

I hope someone can help. I have looked on the forum and only found miraculous solutions after time. In my case, the catalogs are on the same host - only different mysql database.

Thanks.

Mario

My hosts cPanel shows that sendmail's path is /usr/sbin/sendmail*****

Can you change this to /usr/sbin/sendmail.exe -t for the heck of it or is this fixed

Maybe not such a specialist job. Thanks for the fast response bearded one.

sendmail path is: usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i

sendmail from: no value

I have been looking a bit further and  this seems a Hotmail issue...

MS 2 sends the e-mail to: QUOTE [email protected], "Me" <[email protected]> UNQUOTE so in fact I receive the e-mail twice and for this reason Hotmail must regard it as junk mail.

I suppose there are a few more spam killers out there that would behave like this so I still need to find out why the e-mails are sent twice.

Any quick ideas where to look?

Thanks again,

Mario

And both the urls above are at the same host

Try changing the following

sendmail path is: usr/sbin/sendmail.exe -t -i

the only thing is if you know for sure that the e-mail is getting sent, then this isn't a sendmail issue, you might need to recheck your hotmail options.

Best Regards
