cubefree
I am evaluating osCommerce as our shopping cart of choice and wondering if it would be appropriate for our business. Take the following example, we are biz like art.com. There you can choose a photo, a frame, mating, a finish, etc. All these choices are done before you add anything to a shopping cart. Can osCommerce easily be formed to fit the stages a customer goes thru before actually submitting anything to the cart? Thx Cubefree
peterx
Sounds like BOM (bill of materials) functionality, and I don't believe any exists at the moment for OSC - although essential to any supply chain solution.
Guest
You can do this with Product Attributes as far as I can see. E.g. the picture would be a product. Not framed and framed with various options would be product attributes. Finish would be a separate option, so on and so forth. Hth, Matt
