Guest
Is it possible to run background music on a webpage in OS Commerce? some small midi or wav file perhaps, if so, where would the code go?
1quicksi
Well the problem is that once you leave that page the music would stop or continue fromt he begining if you oced this to each page. I would thing product_listing and index would be 2 key files. <bgsound src="soundfile.mid" loop="infinite"></bgsound> knowledge base | Contributions | Search
jello1
i would use a flash player.... they are simple to install and gives the user the option to turn the music off and on.... <span style='font-family:Courier'>If you can't fix it Perl it!!!...</span> ******************************

Guest
The only way to keep the music from going off and on and off and on from page to page is to either... 1) ONLY have it on your entry page OR 2) to set up the site in a borderless frame. This can be virtually invisible to the surfer but only if you do not wish them to have control over the music. My two cents - forget the music!!!! If they want music they will visit Napster, MTV.com, etc. Nothing worse than surfing in the wee hours and hitting a site with some gawd awful music blasting you can't turn off.... OOPS! I'm gone. Not to mention foisting your music tastes on your customers, who might not share your opinion. Lastly, a DECENT music file is hefty MEGGAGE. Any 10K wav file won't cut it. Sad, but true 65% of the surfing public are still on dial up putting along at 56K. Adding something extraneous is only going to make the page load that much longer. This could result in people getting tired of waiting and just leaving.
