Guest
Hi all, Bear with me if these questions are just too silly...but I'm a complete novice at this program, php, mysql...and all the things that I need to know! So here's what I've done. I downloaded the zipped file. Extracted to my HD. Uploaded the catalog and admin folders to the public_html folder on my server. According to the install directions I'm supposed to go to mywebsite/catalog/install and follow the instructions. However, all I'm getting is this message "1046 - No Database Selected select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration [TEP STOP]" So, what have I missed? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I'm trying to learn as fast as I can but didn't think I'd get stuck so soon! Cheers.

jello1
I would reupload the catalog... i'll bet your using wsftp... sometimes the files just don't get there.... try uploading again..... also look in the install dir and see if the files are there... should be install.php index.php oscommerce.sql and upgrage.php w/ a few dirs. and try to access the install.php file directly and see if that works <span style='font-family:Courier'>If you can't fix it Perl it!!!...</span> ******************************
