re-accuring payments

Ok this has probably already been asked and answered but I can't find it.

Does anyone know how to setup a re-accuring charge for a subscription?

ie: Web Hosting Plans with monthly billing.

Thanks.

Were working on contributions for this. It took alot of code to make it happen and we have been fighting trying to make the contribution fit within the guide lines. Basicly we had to rewrite the way the cart functions. we have a demo up that you can look at, and download. I cant post the url for it gets taken down every time I post it. But as soon as we can make it fit within the guide lines for a contribution we want to offer it here to do our part of contributing.

Worldpay (who we use for cc payements) have a facility called Futurepay which does this. Saves messing with the code and gets the job done.
How does it know to make the payment reoccurring?

Thanks,

Matt

Thats a good question.

The only way weve ever gotten that to work was extensive scripting using curl, also writing a huge add-on to minipulate the pay modules to work around there respectives companies. But a;so on top of that you cant really legally keep cc info for over 30 days in the US so we had to set it up on foriegn(to us) servers. But osc can be made to process credit cards on a reoccuring basis without the user having to check out.

  • 3 months later...

How difficult is it to process re-occuring payments with osCommerce? How can it be achieved? We now have a FuturePay account but I haven't had a chance to read the documentation. Does anyone have any hacks for this as there isn't a payment module that supports FuturePay.

Many thanks

Graham
