beeonline
Hi Any one help me on this one ...I have searched high and low to get a answer to this.. When I click on a category I want the page to show a image/link for all the sub categories under that perticular category ( as per the default oscommerce store) In my frenzy to modify oscommerce I did'nt take note on how to do this  Thanks Malc
ozEworks
Well as you kind of indicate this is standard, so you must have changed something. What gets displayed now?
beeonline
Hi All I did was to remove the categories that were in the default store... which is ok for one client...but now I have a client wants a page with links stating A to D... E to J and so on... I Have managed to to get a sub category ( A to D) in the categories box, but when I click on the main category link the page is emptyand I get the message There are no products to list in this category Eg Aromatherapy Oils -> (this shows as empty) A to D (this shows produce for sale) E to G

logiczero
If a category only contains subcategories and no products, then it is behaving correctly when is says there are no products in the category. One option is to copy one or more of the products in the A-D category into the Aromatherapy Oils category (doing the same for other products in other subcategories). You probably don't want to copy all of them, as that defeats the purpose for subcategories in the first place. Another option is to simply display a list of subcategories contained in the main category. Here's a contribution kinda does that: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1014 There may be other contributions that work even better...
