NeedleJack
I have looked everywhere for an answer to this. Does anybody know how to make multiple prices with a dropdown box reflect actual prices and not (+.40 )(+ .60) etc. ? There is a contribution called actual attributes. However, this does not work with the latest release of os 2.2 Again, what I am looking for, and I'm sure there are a thousand people out there with the same question being. I want to have a price structure like this on my products. package 1: 12.99 package 2: 14.99 package 3: 22.00 in a drop down box. Not an addon to the price, but actual prices. I am not kidding I have looked everywhere for two weeks now. Actual Attributes was the only option I found, and it was lacking for the 2.2 release. Somebody help me, this is the only thing slowing down my uploading my store at this point.
Guest
There is a relatively recent thread about this in one of the forums. Also, I believe that someone made a contribution out of the results. Btw, the Master Products contribution might work better for you than Product Attributes. Hth, Matt
NeedleJack
the Actual Attributes works excellent. However, it does not work with the cvs distribution. Only the milestone 2.2 early dec release. But if you want a product that displays drop downs like the one described above, this is the one for you. Also, Master Products will not work for you either. Did it, didn't pan out.
bloodshoteyes
You might try this when you set up the attributes, remove the prefix (i.e. + or -) for each and enter the price you want to show in the drop down menu. If package 1 is the product you set up you can enter the price in the product record and a package 1 attribute that is blank...or vice versa if you don't mind the $0.00 pricing....don't forget - Remove the prefix.... NeedleJack
basically what I did was make the first in the drop down list coorespond with what is up top. The problem I'm having now is that since I'm using Easy Populate the only way I can update the attributes is if I don't mind everything ending in .00 An example being that if I upload a price attribute at 7.60 when it posts it will say 8.00 or 7.40 would be 7.00 any fix you know for this? Guest
the Actual Attributes works excellent. However, it does not work with the cvs distribution. Only the milestone 2 early dec release.MS2 is the latest release. The current CVS is not a release, it is just for testing purposes. As a general rule, if you don't know enough to be able to edit a contribution to work with the latest CVS, then you shouldn't be using the latest CVS. This is especially true now, as the CVS is in mid change and can be expected to be buggy (stable code has been replaced with untested code). It's also worth noting that there are no real advantages to the current CVS other than that the catalog can operate with register_globals turned off. Since the admin still needs register_globals on, this is of limited utility. Hth, Matt
NeedleJack
Ok Matt: that's all foreign to me, but I appreciate the info. The part I got was don't use the cvs. Duly noted. I won't.
