martyjoe Posted December 21, 2003 Share Posted December 21, 2003 i was advised to post my question here. i know osc has a top sellers window, but that seems to draw from data in the ocs db. i would like to make the top sellers my choice of top sellers based on different data. can i manipulate the top sellers box to use MY choice of top selling items? also, i noticed URL's can be imbedded in products. i would like to know if there is a tip/trick that has it so if a customer looks at a product, there would be a link to other items by the same author or publisher in the store site. example: as a customer i pick the comic book "FLCL". the item is displayed and there is a link that if i active it, i am taken to other FLCL items and books. sort of like amazon where if i pull up the book "Poems by Octavio Paz", i can active a link in the authors name that takes me to more books by Octavio Paz. does OSC have anything like this? Guest Posted December 22, 2003 Share Posted December 22, 2003 You could change Manufacturers to Authors in osCommerce - this is the simplest way. There is a contribution known as Family Products that can also be used - this lists the other products below the main one being viewed in product info.
