aljohnson2601
I am completely new to os commerce. I can write "OK" PHP code. I am looking for a paint by numbers installation proceedure to install it on my computer for site design. I have an Apache, PHP, MySql environment set up in a Windows environment on my computer. I fumbled through the installation on my own. I completed the installation and it says it was completed successfully. When I test it at the final screen I receive: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /catalog/install/://localhost/index.php on this server My entries for the various screens during installation are below. I am sure some of these are wrong. Perhaps I need complete paths etc. The password etc that I am using should not be a problem since they work with other functioning php / mysql scripts currently running on the computer. I would appreciate any help, advice, or reference documentation. Screen 1 Import Catalog Database checked Automatic Configuration checked Screen 2 Database Server: localhost User Name: Password Database: These are all working Persistent Connections Unchecked Session Storage: files selected Screen 3 Successful Screen 4 Successful Screen 5 WWW Address: localhost Webserver Root Directory: c:/program files/apache group/apache/htdocs/catalog/ HTTP Cookie Domain: localhost HTTP Cookie Path: localhost Enable SSL Connections checked Secure WWW Address: localhost Secure Cookie Domain: localhost Secure Cookie Path: localhost Screen 6 Database Server: localhost Username: Password Database these were the same selections that worked in screen 2 Persistent Connections: unchecked Session Storage: files selected Screen 7 The configuration was successful!
