Guest
You should have a fixed size for your images, so they all line up. I use Sm, Med, and Lg images to mine. Regards Rich :D
Tariq
I like the colors. Pleasing to the eye, and not overly bright or dark. Would carry the color of the back tabs to the infoboxes backgrounds tho, just to add a little more differential, and break up the white a teeny bit. The rollover color is very hard to see. Maybe a darker grey?? Getting a color that works on BOTH light and dark colors is sooo hard :( Good luck on that. Maybe a bright red to match your header red, but ONLY on the rollover? Still standard layout, still familiar for use :) Like the touch of the Site by in the footer.. Different. Would rearrange the left column tho, and take the Search to the bottom. It shouldnt be the first thing the customer sees over the caregories. Though, question. Why do you still HAVE your Categories infobox, if you have the DHTML categories working? Just curious, as if maybe its for different, or non-compatible browsers? Possilbly, if this is the case, setting up the Hide If functions for the Infoboxes??? Just something to think about. Could be cool. New products are a little long... dont want to scroll through the double length of the page. Not sure how to edit that tho.. Not without taking the whole thing off with a contrib that sets the length of time they are displayed?? Possibly changing to "Featured Products" instead??? Changing the stock OSC buttons to your color green would be a huge touch too. The blue just does not match at all. I saw you are in UK. Do you only accept British Sterling, or any other currency? If so, or not, you may want to make that known, as well as to whether you ship outside of the UK or no. hrm, need to check that on my client's site too.. Most of the images are pretty good, but as was said, getting a more uniform size would help alot with the display. In the PS2 cat, the animaged consol gif is distracting :< Is that to show the different setups for it? Didnt seem to be any operational problems. Good job so far, and keep up the good work! One of these days, I will actually understand what I just changed... But reading the Manual DEFINATELY helps...
hilgie
Hi, A couple of things: - I know it has been said before. Make your pictures the same size. - Change the Catagories and the search info boxes arround. The catagories are a) more important and B) that box is has a rounded corner and the search box has not. - Try to use a bit more graphics (maybe for the info boxes). Basically it's a very OScommerce looking site. But hey.... heard anough stories that it works. Cheers, Danny
martint
Discboy - Jonathan, Nice colour selection. I really like your TAB'd menu bar, being new to OSC I would appreciate some pointers to the add on you used. Martin Martin
burt
The header image is really nice - the rest of the site does not do that graphic justice. Can you give your tabs a smoother finish, and then extend the header image down behind them? That would look good. It's a good start, but you need (in my opinion) to make the "Oscommerce" part of the Store look less like Oscommerce and more like your header image. Jack_mcs
Here's a few things you might want to look into. Most are just my opinion so take it for what it's worth. :) Your Shipping & Returns page has a number of errors (authorisation to name one). It should be proofread. Your Policies page is, IMO, way too long. I doubt a customer will spend the time it takes to read through that whole page. Remove the lesson on cookies. If it's that important to let your customers know what they are, make a link to google. Same with Terms & Conditions. These two pages are among the longest I've ever seen. It would make me think twice about ordering from someone so interested in covering his interests in case of a problem. You should have a copyright notice in your footer. The way you have your footer justified to the right made me think something was wrong with your site - like there was more to see but it was being clipped off.
