tmorton Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 Hi all! I'm almost done with my cart, but am having some problems with shipping :P . UPS calculates (so it's not a firewall), but my USPS refuses to work. I am using the test server and have gotten my userid and password. However, I get the "error calculating rates" message. :( /var/log/messages gives nothing. Any ideas? Thanks, Taj "My software never has bugs, it just develops random features."
Guest Posted December 19, 2003 Posted December 19, 2003 your best bet would be to call icc at the post office and ask them to switch your userid and password to a production server, when they ask what software you are using, let them know it is oscommerce, then within 15 - 30 minutes, they should switch it over, and you will receive an email when they do so. you can also go into /catalog/includes/modules/shipping and edit the usps.php file, search for commented out line containing [email protected] and in there, replace that with your email address, uncomment the line, then refresh the checkout page. then go see what your email response is from the usps server.
