g?nter
Oscommerce is a great and fantastic shopping solution. I wished some other programmers would also take the same care and the responsibilty not to programming software which is giving me the impression to be a beta tester. The newsbox v 1.2 is a nightmare not only for beginners, you should take it off, because after hours of trying and looking within the forum for solutions and to resolve some bugs, still it doesnt work. It is waisted time and very frustrating. greetings G?nter
1quicksi
While I agree that many contributions leave alot to be desired in terms of install directions you have to also understand that OSC MS2 is beta software in itself. While stable and many of us are using it in production many core functions are changing daily. Thus those that are writting contributions are having a difficult time keeping up with chnages while supporting the releaed version as well as the new beta. I find the general population of OSC to be very helpful in resolving issues between the platforms. Patience is key though and describing what is happening in detail is very helpful for others to assist you. Best bet is if you are uncomfortable running beta is to run the releaed version ort hold off until this one is finaly released. Happy holidays and good luck :) Quote knowledge base | Contributions | Search
g?nter
Thanks for your explanation, I totaly understand your arguments, but it is very frustrating, that oscommerce is running perfect, and I have a lot trouble with some contributions. Of course I m very glad about the fact, that many programmers taking theire time to bring the entire projekt forward and I have a lot respect to them. Thanks and have a nice time G?nter
