How to have multiple prices based on qty

I sell items by the case but also plan on selling them as singles. The only way I can see to do this is to have two categories for each caegory I now have. Something like

Widgets by the case

Widgets single

Since I already have 8 caegories, this would mean I would need to have 16 to handle this and it would make the site more confusing to navigate I think. Is there some other solution to this? I looked at using product listing but the work required to set up a large number of products makes using that unnaceptable. The only contribution I could find that comes close to this is Quantity Discount but that won't work in my situation since I have a large variance in pricing.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what's the best way to do this?

You can do this with Product Attributes. There is even a contribution to make prices look more normal (i.e. it would say something like single $5; case $50 rather than the current single; case +$45). Option Name: Unit Quantity. Option Values: Single and Case.

The Attributes Copier contribution would help if you need to apply the attibutes to many products.

The Master Products contribution would be another alternative.

Thanks for the ideas Matt. I had played around with Product Attributes but couldn't see how to adjust for different weights for shipping. Any idea on how to handle that?

I started to install Attributes Copier and ran across a thread about a distribution called SEC, which contains Attributes Copier as well as some other mods I wanted to install. Master products sounds like it might be the solution I need but I'm concerned about how compatible it is with SEC (since I will probably install that one). Any experience with this?
