Couple of things

1) That flash header is going to annoy pretty soon, with it loading every new page you load, sorry but it is an innapropriate gizmo for the sake of having it and adds no benefit to your site.

2) It is a long way in to get to any products

Top ? Catalog ? Property Ownership Maps ? Property Ownership Maps ? RMs ? M

I was beginning to think you didn't have any products in there and was going to come out of your site, I'm not sure how you could structure your products differently.

VERY sparse.

No information loaded whatsoever on my visit to the site in the Index, and the color layout is complete stock. Saw a few changes, but very little that would return me, Visually at least, to the site.

Something has to be near "eye candy" for me to really enjoy myself there. Though I am more of a visual artist type than a linear thinker, that is the way I view things.

Take out the Requests Since in the footer.

I realize that this is most likely a very specialized product site, but you NEED some images. If nothing else, if you cannot have images of the products themselves, make something with the abbreviations of the types of maps themselves and use THOSE as the images or something. At least in My opinion.

Good job on completely eliminating the Right column though! Not many can achieve that... and I havent even attempted to try that!!

One of these days, I will actually understand what I just changed...

But reading the Manual DEFINATELY helps...

I'm also not too fond on the animated banner. Like it the first time, but would be happy to see it static after that.

Worked my way down to the Property Ownership Maps -> Towns -> H-M area and clicked on RM of Grahamdale South product listing. Your B&W map image is 143K! You could save that as a 4-bit GIF, or a much-optimized JPG and weigh in at less than 10K, I'd bet. If all of your images are this weighty, then I highly recommend optimizing them!

You might also consider creating separate thumbnail and full-size images. I believe there are contrib's that handle auto-generation of the images, but don't use them, so I'm not positive on that.

I agree with the last poster's comments about the need for images, too. It's very stark without some kind of eye candy.

HTH -- best wishes for success!

Your site is not secure, when you share information with your site it doesn't take you to the SSL side of your hosting space.

Thats for the input

Yes I agree flash is anoying, but its not too heavy so i think I'll leave it.

As far as the depth of my categories there isnt much I can do about that, and I think most of my users will be using the search feature anyways.

The 143k image was just an oversight on my part.

I know its not secure but processing CC's is not needed right now so having a secure server isnt needed,......or is it?

>>>>>>"but you NEED some images"<<<<<<<

I want to have a waterspot map image on the background, still have to figure out how to implement that.

There is 2 ways to browse the

Property Ownership maps

Topographic

Aeronautical

Hydrographic Charts

http://www.repromap.com/catalog/topo.php

Having a "textual browze" of the topographic maps is all but useless, I want to remove that from the category listing all togetther. I'd like to figure out how to merge those 2 info boxes,(Products and Key Map Browse) but untill then they stay separate.

I would be reluctant to login to a site that didn't protect my password with SSL. I would also be reluctant to enter personal details like address and phone number. YMMV.

I think it is questionable as to whether most customers are even aware when they are on a secure server but then again I wouldn't risk loosing customers over it either. Most webspace includes access to their ssl server. If yours doesn't you might consider switching or get your own ssl certificate.
