PHP edits when adding security cert ?

Ok,

 

I'm setting up my first oscommerce store. So far things have been smooth. It is, however, time to add my security cert, and I've read enough to know there are some necessary edits in order for it to work afterward.

 

But I don't know what those are. I really need for this to go smoothly. I need to have this set up and working with a paypal premier account during these next couple days.

 

Could someone tell me BEFORE I start how to make this a smooth process?

 

The dream would be if someone could im me with yahoo! at hired_pen2000 while I was trying to do this.

 

The store is currently functional (except for the merchant account) but is as of yet still unsecure.

 

Also, it DOES make sense to apply the certificate Before I add the paypal merchant account, correct?

 

Someone has the opportunity to make me a grateful friend here.

By the way, I'm using osCommerce 2.2-CVS

 

I'm running on Linux Redhat and apache with cpanel

 

My security cert is paid for but not installed.
