Search Results SQL Error

Hello,

 

I have an usual problem with the searches in my database -

When I search for a product, I usually have no problems but sometimes - e.g. if you search for 'ipod' then you get the following error:

 

1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 1

 

select manufacturers_url from manufacturers_info where manufacturers_id =

 

[TEP STOP]

 

Is there anyone who is having a similar problem?

 

I've gone into the back end admin and can perform this search, and have taken all the products that are returned and removed unusual characters from the names (&, / etc).

 

Would it be that there is a problem with the cross referencing of the mainufacturer for the product with the manufacturers table?

what does your code say? also, would make it easier if your bottom explorer bar was not blocked out, when i highlight a link i can not see where it is thinking it is going to, versus where it is going . sometimes syntax errors show up that way

That's as much as the code says - nothing further on the errors - how can I enable a more detailed one?

 

What do you mean about the bottom explorer bar? Is this the osCommerce default one or just the IE status bar?
