Guest Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 Hi Everyone... Long time listener, first time caller... See if you can figure this one out.. I've been stumped for 3 days now... 1. Downloaded 2.2 MS2 3 days ago and installed it without a hitch with the sample data. 2. Downloaded USPS Modules 2.6 and installed it according to the instructions. 3. I've configured all the store perameters for my given area, zone, country, and tax stuff. 4. Everything else in the system is completely fresh.. Everything is working fine except for one thing.. neither the UPS or USPS modules work. When I say they don't work.. that's an understatement. ** The USPS module is configured with my userID and password and has been migrated to the production environment. I have yet to be able to see the USPS module work in either of my version of osC that I've tried but I have been assured by our fellow USPS Webtools rep that our account is correct. This doesn't take into account the USPS server instability. ** There's very little to configure in the UPS module, but I left it as is upon installation and tried activating it and de-activating it. Problem: :angry: When UPS and/or USPS modules are installed, active or not, they cause a 404 page when the Checkout button is clicked from the cart. Every other shipping module works. and doesn't cause any errors. I've searched the forums high and low and have never seen this before.... ...anyone have any ideas? Thanks For Reading!! trendyfashion Posted December 18, 2003 Posted December 18, 2003 I have the osc2.2 ms2 and just tried to use the usps module as it came with the script on the usps test server and got the same result as you. The Wiki Docs: Read them, live them and be thankful for them!

Hi Frank, It's refreshing to hear that I'm not just seeing things... .. Has anyone else experienced this?.. ...and I'd be willing to pay a osC PHP pro to go over this aspect of my site and get the sucker working.. any takers? Thanks! Rich Morgan
vandao Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 I have this exact problem. I've read other threads and they seem to blame Ipowerweb.com, but how can they justify these claims? I'm using the latest release, and hosting this with ipowerweb.com What I notice is, that the UPS module will work sometimes , and then it doesn't work at all. What hosting provider are you using? Please let me know if anyone finds a solution. Thanks!
Guest Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 On another post earlier, a gentleman was having problems with ipowerweb and now all of a sudden it started working. this was the same problem you experienced, he stated this morning it is working. it will all depend upon your server number from what i am gathering, some of the servers they have fixed, others they have not. so exchange between you who have servers on ipowerweb and see what servers you are on.
