ronda
thank you soooo much for the reply. With adding this catalog folder to bobsaonlinefl.com will I have to maintain images in both spots as I add new products, again I do not have ssh rights on the server. thanks again for any and all help...this is driving me batty! <_< R.S.B on your second domain, bobsaonlinefl.com you just need to install it just like you did on your main domain, place all of the catalog files in your second shop as you did in the first. so it should be bobsaonlinefl.com/catalog. then edit the database_tables.php configuration table in your second shop, to reflect the confiuration table you gave your second store. mikeemmessen
Hi I like this contribution a lot, but I have a problem adding specials. When I press the 'new product' button in the admin specials section, I get an SQL error. I get different errors logged in as super-admin or as sub-admin. I installed this contribution (version 2.0) on a clean OsCommerce MS2 release, version 060817. The errors appear to come from the part where the specials.php file was modified for this contribution. Here are the errors I receive, first logged in as superadmin, second as sub-admin: <Error-Code> 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'pd where p.products_id = pd.products_id and pd.language_id = ' select p.products_id, pd.products_name, p.products_price from (products p, products_description) pd where p.products_id = pd.products_id and pd.language_id = '1' order by products_name </Error-Code> And <Error-Code> 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Did anybody encounter this problem with setting specials? Does anybody have an idea how i can fix this error? thnx!, Mikee

Now, I have another question. Does anyone know how many sites can be run under this multistore solutions? 1, 2, 5, 20???does anyone have a clue? Again, thanks for the help. Guest
Hi, Im looking for something like this contrib, but not sure if it does everything I would like to do:- basically I want to setup a store, and then allow resellers to have there own store (ww.theirdomain.com) selling my products, each reseller can have a different price for the products (they choose markup across everything). Can this contrib allow for different pricing per store, and if so how is it done?, is a fixed markup or do I need to manually set prices for every product? Also Do the other stores have there own admin etc, so I can allow them to see orders placed on there website, and if they want take the payment themselves through their paypal account instead of going to mine? CJPLOTTS
I am going in circles both figuratively and literally. I have been trying to install RC1 and Multi store 2.0 for way to long now. I won't bore you all with the issues I've had but the straw that sent me here is this, I tried to follow maskddingo's from scratch instructions. As is I get the Register_global error so I copy the new code from RC1 and now Firefox tells me, "The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. * This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies." any help please? Boudy
Hi all, I had a problem where I was not able to add products to other stores if a product was duplicated (copy) to other categories, through the 'add to store' button in a category and selected the enable / disable option. it seems that for some reason in categories.php (admin) round line 370 $check_query = tep_db_query("select count(*) as total from " . TABLE_PRODUCTS_TO_CATEGORIES . " where products_id = '" . (int)$key . "' and categories_id not in (" . $category_ids . ")"); $check = tep_db_fetch_array($check_query); if ($check['total'] < '1') { $products_add[$key] = $key; } was the issue. I have changed the code to: $products_add[$key] = $key; and now I am able to enable products in sub categories for different stores. just for info. DoctorMason
If anyone would like to be hired to modify the recover cart sales module to work with multi stores please contact me via private message.http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1688 Read with interest the contribution for multi-stores. Hope someone here is affordable or can give a list of people to talk to who may assist. If I comprehend correctly, this contribution allows us to have one software storefront that buyers can use no matter which store we service. As merchants agree to our terms and join us, we add them to a new drop-down menu called "Location, or City" something like that, that includes their selected offerings. After buyers select a location then they see what we have for sale of interest to them. The products we'd sell would only be available in their areas. A different product description and price schedule would be made up for their area, hopefully! Rather than mess up the kcpa-tv.com/catalog store as we now have it running somewhat OK, if it isn't that expensive, then I'd rather pay someone to install this contribution and get it running quickly. I can play with adding product descriptions and attributes all on my own time, during spart time (ha!). Anyone qualified wants this job? mikeemmessen
First of all let me wish Ryan all the best with his son. I hope he will recover soon. Compliments to Ryan for the fantastic multi-stores script he developed. It works great! I am determined to explore and extend it in every way i can. The first add-on I wrote for this script works very well, but I haven't posted it yet. It adds a table customers_to_stores, so that individual shop owners only see their own customers details and statistics. A guest becomes a customer after loginto a (sub)shop (thus also while purchasing a product). I will post this customers-to-stores add-on once I am confident that most bugs have been removed. If Anyone cares to test or improve on this add-on, let me know, so i can forward it to you. I will release it later as the 'Customer Privacy Patch' to the multi-stores contribution. The second add-on I am writing has not been completed yet. It intends to assign products_options to stores through a new table options_to_stores. The result is that shop owners are not bothered with product options irrelevant to their shops. After this, i also plan to adapt this script in order to assign options to categories, so that only relevant product options appear for products belonging to a specific category on the products_attributes page. With this second add-on I have come quite far, but it's not working yet :( I have created a page options_to_stores.php, in which you can assign stores to particular product options. The page looks well, and seems ready for action, but my php skills appear insufficient to properly finish the job. Therefore I am looking for some enthousiastic and skilled people to help me finish my second add-on to the multi-stores contribution. I really hope to get some help, so that I can move on to the third add-on i intend to write, assigning product options to categories (for all osCommerce shops). Please feel free to ask me for the above mentioned add-ons, and please feel free to help me finishing the second! thanks, mikee mikeemmessen@hotmail.com

maartenvonz
Hi, Can anybody suggest a good structure in terms of domain names to use with this great mod for SEO. My problem is I have created my base store: www.admall.co.uk. Then have my other stores domain name eg www.sagoodies.co.uk registered through 1 and 1 and forwarded to either a sub domain or a sub directory of the admall.co.uk domain name. Although this works in terms of people browsing, I fear that it causes problems for the search engines. I tried to install google analytics for the sagoodies.co.uk, but it can't see the code. (Presumably because of the domain forwarding) Thanks for any suggestions.
jsvr1977
Hi OSC-members, I have a problem with the login page after the install of the Multi-Store contribution. The shop is installed on a IIS server. The function register globals = off. When i installed the contribution, i would login to the administration side of OSCommerce, and now start the problem. I login with username admin and password admin, and then the adminstration side isn't loading, but the login page is reloaded. I installed OSCommerce also local on my pc, and then i have the same problem. But when i change the option register globals = off to register globals = on, there is no problem anymore and the administration side is loaded. I have also after the installation of OSCommerce and Multi-Stores the contribution Register Globals v1.5 installed. I hope somebody can help me, excuse me for my bad english Greetz.
