Guest Posted December 15, 2003 Posted December 15, 2003 I noticed that many stores use similar navbars that Win XP has, here is an exmaple: www.saversoft.co.uk How can I make these navbars? There must be a online tutorial somewhere?
markchiu Posted December 15, 2003 Posted December 15, 2003 Hi, end, do you know how to use DM or frontpage to change the layout directly instead of writing or changing the code??? I can't figure it out myself??? see that is the thing...how do they change the navbars???? write the code??? then forget it ...i may need 2 more years to learn how to write php.....   OS-commerce is great, but with other magical contributions, that is just so "COOL"!
Guest Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 how to use DM or frontpage to change the layout directly instead of writing or changing the code???You can't. The Simple Template System gets you closest to it. To make a navbar like the example, you make a 1 pixel wide version of the navbar and set it as the background image (tiled horizontally) in stylesheet.css. osCommerce documentation at wiki.oscommerce.com/docsCat CSS documentation at w3schools.org/css. Check out the Try-It-Yourself examples. They're kind of cool. Includes an example of horizontal tiling. Hth, Matt
