How to find posts on VAT ?

I would like to search the forums for posts on VAT but it doesn't seem to be allowed. Is there ay way around this?

I wanted to offer free shipping with the VAT on European shipments roughly equalling the extra cost of posting to the USA etc.

Does anyone know how to set this up so that the VAT element is recorded where appropriate but prices are the same worldwide? Is it simply that you enter all prices inclusive of tax?

In the admin panel there are localizations zones and tax.

you can define the taxes and zones to your needs.

Alternative is to search for vats or similar you need a min of 4 charecters for search so apply 4 charecter rule.

Thanks, I know about tax zones in admin but not how to set it up for my particular needs. Searching for vats sounded like a useful dodge but unfortunately brought up only posts about vats, Nothing on VAT

Thanks Steve,

That finds enough of them to be going on with. I'm going to try entering the VAT-inclusive prices and removing the code that adds the VAT to the totals

Ok that is one way and then add what ever shipping you require.

I think there is a contribution somewhere that allows greater control over vat allocation
