The + sign is entered by the cart to imply sorting in ascending order. If you were to click on it, I believe a - sign comes up implying sort in descending order.

I don't recall where I saw it, but I know I read a thread where someone had substituted a graphic image for the + sign.

Try searching for 'ascendingly' in general or installation forums and you should find it somewhere in there.

Look for a post by amoun in the Tips & Tricks forum for the graphical version. He may also have made a contribution. We talked about it a little and he was thinking about making a contribution with his graphics.

Click on it and you can sort, clicking on "Price" (next right side) does the same.

If you put your cursor over it, you should see an (link)explanation.

In the standard osco-version it's not easily spotted that it's link, you can change that (the linkcolor that is) in the stylesheet.css :-(

The + and - characters are of course easily found in:

/catalog/includes/functions/general.php

approx on line 910:

      $sort_suffix = (substr($sortby, 0, 1) == $colnum ? (substr($sortby, 1, 1) == 'a' ? '+' : '-') : '') .
