Thanks You need to create a backups subdir under the admin, like catalog\admin\backups There's a couple of other things that'll help you better backups in the admin, find zip.exe,unzip.exe and GZIP.EXE and place them in your c:\php subdir or where ever you have your php files Look for This file, they contain all the mentioned files. leave your backups/ the way it is in your configure.php as it does work for me this way.
