ttoomey Posted December 11, 2003 Posted December 11, 2003 My shop has 2 factories, one in CA and one in TN. I'm the main guy behind this shopping cart and we're having a minor problem that is causing us major problems. The fact that we ship all our products from 2 places in the US causes lots of problems. If the people are on the Western side of the US they get stuff shipped from CA, but if they are on the Eastern side of the US they get their products shipped from TN. Now with the shop setup you can have the shipping calculated based on only 1 zip code, but that won't be right because if we charge someone 10 dollars to ship from CA to Georgia when it really only costs us about 5 cause we ship from TN they're going to be very mad with us. Is there a way to setup shipping pricing so that the cart somehow knows how much shipping to apply based on the location of the persons location in the US in relation to one of our 2 shops? the only idea I had was to make a gateway page that gives you a link to 2 sites, one for the west side that goes through CA and one that goes through the Eastern side through TN, but that would take forever to make changes to inventory and such in 2 locations. so if someone knows a way to get around this please tell me! Thanks guys! Assault If you want to find it you'll have to google "Assault T-Shirts" because posting my damn url in my signature is against the forum rules.
