Jeremy at oddly enough Posted December 11, 2003 Share Posted December 11, 2003 There is an attribute copier and sorter contrib. If you get it to work, then it might be the way to go. I never did get it installed properly, so I found a way to use excel, and word to quickly write scripts of mysql commands that I could run in phpmyadmin to put the attributes directly into the database. This method is very suited to situations where the same information is repeated a lot. You make use of the inherent features of excel to either repeat info in subsequent cells, or to auto increment in subsequent cells for things like unique id numbers (e.g. product_id). I save it as as a csv, and use word to get rid of the extra characters like ", and extra commas, and get the script cleaned up for input.
