cgchris99 Posted December 11, 2003 Posted December 11, 2003 I have an MS1 store with quite a few mods. Is it worth all the hassle of upgrading to MS2? I am just concerned I spend hours & hours upgrading and then MS3 will be released and I'll have to start over. Thanks for any advice
Noobish-n-stuff Posted December 11, 2003 Posted December 11, 2003 you are exactly right, wait. MS3 should be out in the early part of the new year (from what i've heard). There are a TON of changes involved with this new version too. i wouldn't wait my time just to go back and do it again in a few months. at least thats my 2 cents
active Posted December 11, 2003 Posted December 11, 2003 Having used both the MS1, and MS2 versions of osCommerce, I would say that upgrading doesn't really get you a whole lot. Since MS3 is coming out so soon, with MS4 scheduled shortly after, I would really wait for MS3. Personally, I am sticking with MS1 until the final version. Sincerely, Michael G. Myles
ixon Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 Im gona stick with MS2, no probs with it, why upgrade? It would take me around 4 hours to edit everything again.
cgchris99 Posted December 12, 2003 Author Posted December 12, 2003 4 hours. With my mods I'm thinking 4 weeks. 8^)
k_budiarto Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 only 4 hours? ha! with my 18 mods installed it would take years to edit eveything again!
