Guest
I just got burned again by Paypal allowing a customer to reverse their transaction simply by saying that they did not receive their products with no proof of this while I do have proof the products were shipped. The customer did not choose to have the package insured so even if they legitimately did not receive it that is their option, which they refused. Paypal did not care to see this proof, even when I offered it up to them. They make their money either way so why help me out. Judging by our e-mail transactions between myself and the customer they did receive the items because initially they were asking questions which would indicate they did have the items. Well I've decided to stop taking payments through Paypal except to confirmed addresses which eliminates the entire world with the exception of the US. Confirmed addresses are only available in the US so I'd like to limit Paypal IPN payment method to US citizens. It's unfortunate and has nothing to do with other countries, it just comes down to Paypals lack of support when shipping to an unconfirmed address. At least by getting these customers to use a credit card I can rely on my merchant services to back me up when I can offer proof that the items were mailed to the customer. ;) If anyone could tell me how to either set up the entire country as a zone, or how to set up multiple states in a single zone I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
hobbzilla
Paypal Zone Simply Edit the SQL file to include only the U.S.A in the zones_to_geo_zones (the last line, zone_country_id, 223) Follow the rest of that contribution's notes.
