I Do not understand how to start with os-commerce (the"install" icon of the os commerce 2.2ms2, ;) I donloaded seems not to be recognise by windows) Is there anybody out there... patient enough to explain me what's what ?
241 Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 os Commerce comes as a downloaded zip file. The zip file needs to be opened and the contents extracted to a local folder. Your web package will need to have php installed and mysql database available, check that these exist and check that perl exist also. If everything is ok with package then set up a database using cpanel or phpMyAdmin from your web package. You will require an FTP package for upload and download of files, this can be used later to chmod certain folders and files on the webspace. this is only pat of what is required, I suggest you read the wiki docs linked below and the install docs in the zip file also do some searches in this forum, here you will find all the answers for newbies. but if you go and check the first info given then come back for the next stages as there is too much to write here all in one go. No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided. Individual: [=] SME: [==] Corporation: [===] If deposit does not fit one of the slots provided then you are asking too much! Is your Osc dated try Phoenix raising oscommerce from the ashes.
