Newbie questions.....

Hello folks,

 

I am wondering if anyone could point me to a high-level (but not too high!) tutorial to

help a newbie get started?? I have a good deal of linux/unix experience and there seems to be good documentation so I don't really need help with installing:

 

Apache

mod_ssl

mod_php

MySQL

phpMyAdmin

OSC

 

But once all this stuff is installed and working, manipulation of the database is where I am weak... I have downloaded and installed EZ-populate and I have an existing flat-file catalog.... Is there

anything else I need to do besides drop the sample database and use EZ-populate to add my own??

me also have problem with easy populate. i am running the later ver of oscom, and have this errors when trying to upload exactly the same file i download from the easy populate. so something must have gone wrong as there is double /catalog dir im not sure how to fix
