I'm trying to change my shopping cart a little bit. What i want to do is make it so when you enter an attribute price in the admin, but don't give it a price prefix, that price is the actual price. By default, OSC will subtract the attribute price if there is no price prefix. I tried playing around with includes/shopping_cart.php and even went as far as creating a new tep in general.php, but nothing seems to be working quite right. i can either get the product price to show correctly in the cart or the subtotal price. But not both!

Anyone who has ANY kind of working knowledge of the shopping cart, please contact me. I've spent 3 days on this now and it seems like i am just chasing my tail. :(

This might seem dumb, but i've found many places on my site where this would be very usefull to the customers (and myself). I think they would like to see the actual price in the drop down box rather than try to figure it out or have to add it to their shopping cart. Plus when i add products into my site, i would rather just put the actual price rather than have to sit there with a calculator and figure out the difference. I would even go as far as to suggest this be added to the next release of OSC too.

Thanks in advance...

ok, so i feel really really really really dumb right now.

I took a look at my standard copy of shopping cart.php just so i could compare it to my modified version. it turns out that i was simply returning variable $attribute rather than $attributes. ggggg...

i'll be posting this as "Actual Attribute Price V1.0" in the contribution section for anyone interested.

thanks again
