pixellated
I'm new to osCommerce and am trying to set it up for a client. This client sells clothing, jewelry, etc. and has items that come in different sizes for the same item, such as T-shirts, belts, etc. Let's say I have a quantity of black T-shirts, in sizes M, L, and XL. I can set product attributes for size so that there's a drop-down selector for the sizes, but there does not seem to be a way to enter the quantities available for each size without entering the same product into the db a second time (which just clutters things up). For instance, if I have 3 size XL, 5 size L, and 18 size M, I have to enter a new product into the db for each size. I can't just add the quantities together for the same listing, because that would screw with the built-in inventory controls. Is this making any sense whatsoever? If you get what I'm asking, how do I get this to work? Thanks much!
Guest
Check out the Master Products contribution for a way to handle this. The author posts as Johnson. It came out after the contribution announcements forum was created, so there is a thread in there with links. Hth, Matt
