silica Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Hi im having a strange problem, but i've seen it on more sites, everything is correct, but my footer is not translating the date: Monday 08 December, 2003 It should say Lunes 08 Diciembre, 2003 ... all is set to spanish, spanish is default language and I dont find this on any file in OSCommerce... is it taking the date from myh server which is in Irland?? could that be the problem as i dont find any file in the whole catalog folder where I can translate the months and days into spanish... Thanks, Robert Amine
Jim1 Posted December 17, 2003 Posted December 17, 2003 I have the same problem. Has you found the solution yet?
silica Posted December 19, 2003 Author Posted December 19, 2003  not yet but I think its got to do with the server, im sure its some setting in apache, or linux. I cant control that as im not running my own server just using a hosting co... Nobody else can help? Merry Christmas from Spain ;-)
Cesar17 Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 First you have to find out which OS is your server running, then go to \catalog\includes\languages\ and open espanol.php Locate this line... @setlocale(LC_TIME, 'es_ES.ISO_8859-1'); notice this is the default option, and it works for FreeBSD But... If your server is running RedHat you must change to @setlocale(LC_TIME, 'es_ES'); If your server is running Windows you must change to @setlocale(LC_TIME, 'sp'); It works for me, I hope it works for you!! :D Saludos Espa?a, desde Mexico! :)
