Guest
Hi, I read wiki docs but they don't tell me (or I've not understood...) what I have to do to prepare my server to receive the files of osCommerce (before to upload it via FTP). Is osCommerce a software that will run and tell me what to do step by step after uploaded on my server or what? Should I be prepared on php language?? (I have only few knowledge on html.. sorry). I think that osCommerce is a beautiful matter and I would like to go in deep about how it work and how I can setup it for my shop. Anybody could help me? 241
I see you have posted for this help in two threads. There is plenty of help here. Have you tried search install? first you will need to access mysql database and set up database, then upload the os catalogue as instructed in the documentation. point your browser to the url of the install directory and follow the onscreen prompts No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided. Individual: [=] SME: [==] Corporation: [===] If deposit does not fit one of the slots provided then you are asking too much! Is your Osc dated try Phoenix raising oscommerce from the ashes.

Guest
Hello Corrado First you may want to check to see if your free server even offers PHP and SQL alot do not since it takes up more system resourses to run them. As for adding a databases all that information can be found at your hosting server they should have a control panel for you to access it. If you do not have SQL and PHP avialible to you then maybe getting a good hosting company might be the answer. There are so many I would do a search on best rated. I hope that this helps The Lizard

Guest
I dont believe that osCommerce supports asp. I would look for a new serving company. L.A.M.P. (Lynix, Apache, MySQL, PHPformats are normally cheaper then ASP. Good Luck
