chapm4
I have a website that I have done for a client. In the past I have used mals-ecommerce for my shopping carts because this client in particular used paypal for payment which was a very simple solution. Now he has set up a gateway and merchant account to accept forms of payment. The way the mals works is you put the login info, item, price and description on a button and that is submitted to mals cart. The issue I have with mals now is that if we use a gateway he charges a monthly fee and the client doesn't want an extra fee, so I need to do something different and have looked at several options including oscommerce. Now I could write my own cart (php) and plug to mySQL and spit out xml to the gateway. The only issue with this is I am not that good in PHP and XML to write the various add-ons I would need. So I finally get to the question for you guy's......can I do this is oscommerce fairly easily? store page: http://www.reelpearlusa.com/tackle.html When a user clicks a buy now button on a lure, it adds it to the cart but remains on the page, when they are done they click checkout which goes to an add-a-lure page. Here they click buy now which again adds to the cart but keeps them on the page until they click the checkout button. Now they are finally taken to the cart for any changes and then goes to payment and shipping info. This setup may or may not look screwey to you, but it is what the client wanted and thats how I did it. So can I keep everything the way it is and simply use oscommerce for the checkout piece? Or can anyone steer me in the right direction otherwise? Thanks a bunch guy's Dave
