Hi.

Got all sorts of problems.

First problem is that I can?t get my head round the installation and the use of ssl.

Ive read all that I can find to read about this problem and im still at a loss.

http://fish4ituk.co.uk/catalog/index.php

I have the shop installed and running ok up to creating an account.

Then the script goes to the secure bit and wont log on to the database.

The address it goes to is https://secure-ssl-host.com/xxxxxxxk/catalo...bfec616bee95c54

I?ve tried everything I can think of trying all to no avail.

i dont know how to set up the database connection from a remote address. The ssl is shared. i think.

:D

Can anyone help.

Yours in hope.

Colin

First thing to do is move the install folder or delete it.

Second thing to do is chmod configure.php

next would be to look at your configure.php to make sure the ssl section is going to the proper site.

the error is a sql connect error stating that your sql username is being denied access to localhost, so double check your password.

Do all and still getting errors.

When i click on Create account i get this error.

The error is Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'fish4it_osc1@localhost' (Using password: YES)

I have checked the details in the config file and all seems ok.

What files do i need in the shared ssl folder. At the moment i have them all.

Thanks for the help.

I appreaciate it,

Cheers Colin

Hi.

Making inroads, small ones but im getting there.

At least I have a grip on what?s wrong. (I think)

I have the shop running as I said.

The secure SSL thing is on a different server. Ie a shared thing.

The script can?t connect to the database when i try to creata an account.

I have the DB details as localhost.

I now know that this is wrong. (I think).

What would I put in place of localhost. And where do I get this info.

Thanks to all for helping.

Keep smiling

Colin
