Guest
 Hello to all of the thinkers of the OSCOMMERCE world... I deleted the front page information thinking I could simply add the text back in.. I get the words TEXT_MAIN now and I cannot put anything there without getting a parse error. What gives here. I would so appreciate someone telling me how to add back in the text on the front page of http://www.giftgiving.biz and of course, I thank you for your time.
TomDSL411
In your catalog/index.php On lind 307 it should have this <?php echo TEXT_MAIN; ?> or in your catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php around lind 8 it should look like this define('TEXT_MAIN', 'This is a default setup of the osCommerce project, products shown are for demonstrational purposes, <b>any products purchased will not be delivered nor will the customer be billed</b>. Any information seen on these products is to be treated as fictional.<br><br><table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="2"><tr><td class="main" valign="top">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 241
define('TEXT_MAIN', ''); line 13 of catalog\includes\languages\english\index.php or <td class="main"><?php echo TEXT_MAIN; ?></td> line 307 of catalog\index.php the above are the minimum codes, if you are trying to add your own replacement text for the default text then the answer is the first quote text goes in after define('TEXT_MAIN', ' but before '); No longer giving free advice. Valmr
Hi, thought I'd ask this here rather than start a new topic. I have the code mentioned in catalog\index.php, but when I looked for catalog\includes\languages\english\index.php, I discovered I didn't have the file. Everything seems to be working fine though? I'm using 2.2CVS, and I really can't figure out how to edit the main page because I can't find the file mentioned. Help anyone?
