marseng Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 this is the error I get: - You don't have permission to access /catalog/:///index.php on this server. I have full permissions under windows and i dont know why I am getting this message. How do I fix this? Thank you.
jrwrestling Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 what are the permissions set to on each file on the site? What are the CHMODed to?
marseng Posted December 6, 2003 Author Posted December 6, 2003 I have installed oscommerce on a Windows XP box and that is the message that I am getting. I right click on the item and it tells me that it is read only. How do I change the permission in Windows XP. I have never had this problem before, seeing how I have full priveledges to the system. So i cant see why I am getting this error. Thanx again.
marseng Posted December 6, 2003 Author Posted December 6, 2003 when i type in the file name manually i can access the file, but when i select a link on the web page it adds :///filename.php to it. why does it add the :/// to the front of it thanx
Guest Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 it has to do with your setup, check your configure.php for your paths to the catalog.
Noobish-n-stuff Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 it's in your configure.php. one of your file paths is not setup correctly. it should look something like this: <?php /* osCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions http://www.oscommerce.com Copyright (c) 2003 osCommerce Released under the GNU General Public License */ // Define the webserver and path parameters // * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical) // * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL) define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.moto-works.com/catalog'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://host84.ipowerweb.com/~moto-wor/catalog/'); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure? define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'www.moto-works.com/catalog'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', ''); define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', ''); define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/'); define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', ''); define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/'); define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'icons/'); define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'includes/'); define('DIR_WS_BOXES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'boxes/'); define('DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'functions/'); define('DIR_WS_CLASSES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'classes/'); define('DIR_WS_MODULES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'modules/'); define('DIR_WS_LANGUAGES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'languages/'); define('DIR_WS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', 'pub/'); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/home/moto-wor/public_html/catalog/'); define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'download/'); define('DIR_FS_DOWNLOAD_PUBLIC', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'pub/'); // define our database connection define('DB_SERVER', 'localhost'); // eg, localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', 'xxxxxx'); define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', 'xxxxxxx'); define('DB_DATABASE', 'xxxxxxx'); define('USE_PCONNECT', 'true'); // use persistent connections? define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql'); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'mysql' ?> please note, my HTTPS_SERVER path is slightly different than most. I use shared SSL, so i have to have that crap added in there.
