I have managed to install OS and everything was working perfectly. I am a total beginner!!

However, I have made a few amendments as per the instructions and other problems that have been experience by people in this forum.

I am stumped as to what I have done here though.

When I click on the picture of a shop item the link takes it to a general error page. It also does this when I click on a manufacturer, shipping instructions etc etc. I must have done something, but I can't locate where

Can anyone help me?!!

Cheers

do you have search engine friendly urls set to true ? If so set it to false and you will get rid of the error "unable to determine page link"

I have ms2 max version of oscommerce. If the images 3 contribution is with this. I am still getting some error messages on links such as the login.php and create account link on the main page

I also need to upload around 2000 parts, their corresponding part numbers and images. What would be the easiest way to do this?

I also need to amend the tax to UK vat @17.5% I cannot find where to alter this for the life of me.

sorry for the delay

you can alter the tax in the localization screen - you set the new tax up in there

I am using linda's sec for ms2 and my hosting company migrated from one server to another now i get the error "unable to determine page link" when search engine urls is enabled then only 2 differences between the 2 severs are that the new one has php installed as a cgi rather than as a module and it is a newer version of php on the new server ie 4.3.2 rather than 4.2.2

I need to use search engine urls because of my search engine submissions

any ideas?

It's an Apache setting. Something like AllowPathInfo. May not exist in older versions of Apache.

You could also use mod_rewrite to rewrite the URLs, instead of the osCommerce code. This would allow you to turn off SEF URLs in osCommerce.

I am wondering if you have any idea...

my site is now running on a cgi version of php b4 it was on a server running php as an api module

email is not being delivered properly

some of the server sent email work some doesn't (it all worked fine before the migration)

Any one have any ideas if there is other issues with oscommerce (using lindas sec) and php installed as a cgi?

One other wierd thing that is happening

order emails before the migration came like:

NEW - Order Process #385

now they are coming like:

Order Process #385

i am using linda' sec for oscommerce 2.2

I have not changed any code

the server changes are that the database server is nolonger set to localhost (i think it might might be a seperate server) and php is cgi now not an apache api
