Hi osCommerce Team,

many thanks for this great product. And also many thanks to the authors of contributions.

It took me four months of time to get the shop going and customized to our business. Business reasons however delayed the launch date for 3 more months.

Anyway, please have a look at the shop and give me your opinion:

http://shop.faciliteam.de

The shop sells electronic lock products and accessories (i.e. photo batteries) and also stainless steel products for doors (door handles and stuff).

The shop is based in Germany, but we took the time to translate the descriptions also into english. For the time being shipping is only within Germany.

The larger pictures for two articles are missing, we are working on that.

You will notice that sometimes the tables are out of alignment. This ist not an osCommerce bug but a bug of php version 4.2.3. There is nothing I can do about it, my sh...y web space provider refuses to update. I suppose I have to live with it.

Many thanks to you all

Marc

Thanks for the tip, bear. I have tried this before but it didn't work for me. In fact I had this line within my .htaccess file.

When I included it again (by mistake) the site would't work any more (Error 500).

I had a hard time getting my site back up because when I deleted the line again it still didn't load anymore.

So finally changed also some useless stuff in the DirectoryIndex directive and then it loaded again.

Strangely enough, the bug seems to be gone.

Must have been something odd with my provider's apache configuration (or with my understanding of .htaccess files).

Dear community,

please post any thoughts about the site (design, functionality, catalogue, whatever) here. I will be glad about any feedback.

Feel free to create customer accounts but fill it out in a way that makes it clear it's a test account (unless you want to order something for real).

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE ANY TEST ORDERS!

Though test orders can be deleted easily, they still mess up the statistics. Maybe I should look for a contribution that correlates order deletion with statistics correction...

Many thanks again

Marc

Sometimes providers shut off certain options because they think that they are security threats. In those cases, you should talk to the provider about solutions. A more complete discussion of fixes and workarounds for this particular problem is here. That discussion includes a fix (upgrading to PHP 4.3) and three workarounds (including the one you tried). It also has links to the PHP bug reports.

Hth,

Matt
