Move comments box to shopping cart?

Anyone know how to move the comments box that is in "checkout_shipping.php" so that it is in "shopping_cart.php" as well? Then people could make comments on their order within the shopping cart, instead of later when they are going through the checkout process?

 

I've found the code for the actual box, but I don't know how recode the shopping cart so that the info typed in gets inputed under the comments section for that person's order in the database... (I'm guessing it's something in a form-submit variables section, but have no idea where this stuff is or how to alter it)

 

From what I can tell, I need to somehow get the infobox name="comments" into that session's database record, but that's about all I can figure out :(
