create them locally, upload with ftp... done.

In the wiki community they tell you how to use other folders for images.

I have read the wiki docs here

Upload Images to their own folder in the admin

I have tried for hours - and no matter how closely I follow the instructions, the images still just go directly into the images folder and not the subfolder.

I have created the subfolder on the server, set the permissions to 777. I have created the same hierarchy on my hard drive. I have changed the backslash to a forward slash right before the image name and still - it doesnt work.

I have scoured the forums and tried other things that people have said have worked and it always always loads the image file right into the images folder and not the subfolder.

Someone please help - I have over 4000 images in my images folder and I cant access them through ftp. If I try to access them through osc file manager, it takes forever and a day because I have dial up. I need a solution....please?
