Andreas2003
Hi there, after normal installation, the admin section can be found under the catalog order. Is it possible for safety reasons to move the complete admin section to another place or even another server ?? Thanks in advance, Regards Andreas
Guest
Why not just password protect it? You can do that with your Hosting provider CPanel (directory protection) The_Bear

Guest
What The Bear meant by that, is going thru your contral panel via your host provided browser system to administer your site. This is more of a unix problem, than it is with osCommerce. This may help, at least give you an understanding of what goes on: http://www.freebsd.org/projects/newbies.html#unix

Addy
But is it possible to move the ADMIN dir nonetheless? Or is this too much work?
Guest
you can move it or rename it, etc, just have to make sure in admin/includes/configure.php that you reference exactly where it is located.
